ASHRAE Technical Committee 6.7 - Solar Energy Utilization
Activities
Technical Committee 6.7 is concerned with all equipment and systems which collect, store and utilize solar energy or dissipate energy by nocturnal radiation. Overlap with other TCs is recognized where specific systems are included to utilize or distribute heat.
The Committee sponsors Research Projects, which are a way to further knowledge in our field.
We provide valuable assistance in the writing and revision of those chapters in the Handbook for which we are responsible.
We often sponsor one or more Seminars at the Society National Meetings. This is a good opportunity to let others know what TC 6.7 is doing.
We regularly update the standards we are responsible for. If you are interested in this effort, please join our committee meetings.
The subcommittee meetings are where the action is, so don't miss them. They are a good way for TC members to become more closely involved with the activities of the committee.
